Episodes
Gratitude practice
We explore the health benefits of practicing gratitude, and how to go about establishing a daily gratitude practice using apps or a journal.
Grounding
We explore the science behind grounding techniques and how they can be used to reduce anxiety. Ilan walks viewers through a short technique called 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding, that utilizes all of our senses.
Interoception: the hidden sense
We dive into interoception (often described within healthcare and science as the hidden sense) and how we can use it to our advantage. Ilan explores how to do a Body Scan (an evidence-based mindfulness meditation) and how it relates to interoception.
Ontario Structured Psychotherapy
Ilan brings a local connection to mental health health and wellbeing by interviewing a therapist from CMHA York & South Simcoe. We talk about the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) program, a free government-funded program providing evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to adults living with anxiety and depression.
